About Thassians
(Thassites)
There about 18000 thassians which are
living in more than 31 villages and settlements at Thassos. Thassians
are usually open and friendly to their guests. The most of the tourists
have done good experience. It is worthy to notify that the most hotel,
tavern, bar ... owners are not thassians. Just the minority of Thassians (except
people from Limenas and Limenaria) are living from tourism. They mainly produce olive oil, honey, fishing, have goats and seeps. Villiages
like Kallirachi are still original and tourism have not reached them
yet and of course have their own color.
It is usuall for thassians
to have their own garden for their vegetables and fruits, as well as a got
for fresh milk.
